Privacy Policy

Duowell exists for some of the most private moments in your life. This policy is written to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: your relationship data is yours, your partner never sees it, we don't sell it, and you can delete it any time.

What we collect

• Waitlist: your email address, used only to contact you about early access.
• App profile: what you tell us during onboarding. A display name or nickname, relationship stage, how conflicts usually go, and your coaching preferences. You can use the app anonymously, without an email.
• Partner information: only what you describe (a nickname, your own observations). We never contact your partner, and nothing is ever shared with them.
• Usage: which tasks you complete, crisis flows you open, and notes you choose to save.

AI processing

When you use the message rewriter, the text you submit is processed by an AI provider to generate suggestions. We store the suggestion and the length of your input. Not the message itself. AI output is coaching material, not professional advice.

What we never do

• Sell or rent your data. Ever.
• Show anything you write to your partner.
• Use your relationship content for advertising.

Deletion & export

In the app: Profile → “Delete all my data” permanently removes your profile, tasks, notes and crisis history. You can also email privacy@duowell.app for deletion or a copy of your data (GDPR/CCPA requests honored within 30 days).

Storage & security

Data is stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS, US region) with row-level security: your records are readable only by your authenticated session. Safety-critical resources are bundled into the app so they work offline.

Not therapy, and safety

Duowell is a communication coach. Not therapy, medical care or crisis intervention. If you describe situations involving violence, threats or self-harm, the app stops coaching and shows crisis resources. We may keep a minimal internal record of such events to improve safety behavior; these records are never visible to other users.

Age

Duowell is for adults. 18 and over.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app. Not bury it in a changelog.
